Issaquah PD: Spirit of Issaquah Basket

Issaquah Police Communications has started collecting items for a basket that uniquely represents their city.

First, a commemorative Issaquah Police Department mug! These limited-edition cobalt glass mugs (with the police department patch in silver on two sides) were commissioned by former Chief Ayers and gifted to his staff. These cannot be purchased--only the employees of Issaquah PD have them, and if you bid on this basket, you can have one too!

One of Issaquah's biggest annual events is the Salmon Days Festival, held every October to celebrate the return of the spawning salmon to the area's lakes, creeks and historic downtown hatchery. These iTown Socks are official Salmon Days merchandise, displaying some of the landmarks of the area knit into cozy footwear.

Also from Salmon Days, a framed, limited-edition (#23 of 450) commemorative print entitled "Endless Cycle", the official artwork of the 2002 Salmon Days festival. The print is signed by the artist, Barbara Conner-Reed.

This basket is still in process, so more fantastic items (including a box of chocolates from Issaquah's own Boehm's Candies) will be added. Stay tuned!
